2 Stripe RunnerThe Wavy Rug is a series of rugs first exhibited in our Pieces Homes Project in Kennebunk, Maine. The Wavy Rug design concept started as a single rug composed of 10 multi colored, undulating stripes. From there we imagined how snippets of the rug could be extracted and magnified to create separate designs. The 2 Stripe Runner demonstrates an example of this process. When magnified, the motion of the stripes is exaggerated causing the rug to travel

Upholstered in fabric by a company that supplies teddy bear makers

but colored bases can be requested

with tennis court-like geometries represented both via overlaid graphics as well as the cut and shape of individual segments

We chose the performance velvet for the upholstery because it has such a soft look to it but it’s super durable
