Tsaus Mountains 09Dramatic red hued rock formations in the Namibian desert The Tsaus Mountains is a mountain range located within the desert of Namibias restricted area (Sperrgebiet). Part of the Nama Group (a precambrian foreland basin made up of both siliclastic and carbonate units) the mountains have a very characteristic horizontal layered structure and a very organic shape which has been formed over thousands of years. Its extension is about 11 square kilometers
